He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace B. Briggs and Esther Murphy Briggs; and his siblings, Gene Briggs and Doris Briggs. He is survived by: his wife June Greer Briggs; his children, Kenneth, Brad (Cande) of Blue Springs and Lori Briggs Traylor (Terry) of Flowood; his grandchildren, Daniel Traylor, John Briggs, Makaela Traylor and Leighann Briggs; his sister Carol Ingram of Greensboro, NC; and his sisters-in-law, Mollye Cash of Rome, GA, Donnie Briggs of Kernersville, NC and Paulette Watson-Greer of Nesbit, MS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
