She was predeceased by: her husband Hershel Burks; her son Mike Burks; and her grandchildren, Buffy Hodges and B. J. Owens. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Owens (Benny), Brenda Hodges and Richard Burks (Anna). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the United Funeral Service, Inc. (700 MS-15, New Albany, MS 38652). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
