It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Armstrong (New Albany, Mississippi), who passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Dillard and Lorene Martin Dillard of Ingomar; her husbands, Jack Swords and Ellis Armstrong; her siblings, Betty Miller (Ray) and Larry Dillard (Sue); her brother-in-law Hollis Carr; and her nephew Marty Dillard.

She is survived by: her son Mike Swords (Judy) of Sherman; her grandchildren, Lori Horne (Bryant) of Tupelo and Dayton Swords of Nashville; her great grandchildren, Isla and Julia Horne; her sister Brenda Carr of Oxford; and her nieces, Lisa Dillard Horn (David), Sherri Carr Smith (Darren), Leigh Ann Carr Morgan (Dennis "Bubba" Morgan) and Betsye Miller Callicut (Randy).

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Ingomar Baptist Church.
