He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Mayo and Ruth McCreary Mayo; his wife Yvonne Moore Mayo; his son Ricky Dale Mayo; and his grandson Hunter Mayo.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Mayo (Cammie), Dennis Mayo (Lori) and Amy Shook (Harvey); his siblings, Becky McCutchen (Bruce), Ann Johnson and Mack Mayo (Cynthia); his grandchildren, Leslie Pounders (Jonathan), Scotty Mayo, Camrie Webb (Kyle), Cadan Mayo (Abby), Whitney Butler (Hank), Preston Mayo, Tyler Shook (Bridget), Dylan Shook (Candace) and Maranda Harris; and his close friend Betty Love. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
