He was predeceased by: his parents, L. C. Buggs and Merle Gibbs Buggs Ryder; and his grandparents, Lewis, Emma Gibbs, Walter and Bernice Buggs.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Faye Massey Buggs of Newton; his daughter Valeria Michelle Prince (Philip) of Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Miriam Prince of Philadelphia, Samuel Prince of Philadelphia, Sarah Prince of Philadelphia and Andrew Prince of Philadelphia; his sister Rhonda Buggs Stodard (Darrell) of Tallahassee, FL; his sister-in-law Sandra Morgan of Philadelphia; and his nephews, Waylon Miller of Ackerman and Chance Massey of Bush, LA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Mission Fund or Cemetery Fund, 2548 Cedar Grove Rd. Newton, MS 39345.
