She is survived by: her children, Angela Spence (Mike) of Decatur, Kevin Mayes (Vicki) of Decatur, Gary Mayes of Decatur and Justin Mayes (Amy) of Decatur; her niece Pam Long; her nephew Tobbie Bugg (Mayes) of Mobile, AL; her caregivers, Sherry and Jason Sanders; and her pet Angel. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church. A burial was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
