He is survived by: his wife Lynn Monroe; his children, Grover Clark Monroe II (Misty), Richard Walton Monroe and Jennifer Lynn Gill (Matt); his granddaughter Kathryn Walton Paluszak (Philip); his children, Emily Gill Starkes (Alex), George Wakeland Monroe (Kallen), Julia Lynn Gill (James Vaughn), Sarah Katherine Gill, Haylee Bartolomei, Samantha Keller, Brooke Keller and Nathan Edward Monroe; and his great grandchild Aurora Bartolomei.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Newton (307 E Church St, Newton, MS 39345). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
