With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lewis C. Wilson of Newton, Mississippi, who passed away on August 6, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lewis C. Wilson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Melba Pelfrey Wilson; his daughter Charlene McCormick (Johnny); his parents, Allison Wilson and Mable Hardy Wilson; his siblings, A. Y. Wilson, Tom Wilson, Lula Alice Holladay, Elizabeth Boutwell, Vera Smith and Jo McCormick; and his grandfather Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Weyman Reece (Karen) of Conehatta, Todd Reece (DeDe) of Newton, Debra W. Boulton (Jackie) of Rose Hill, Anita Kay Wilson of Moss Point and Beverly Wilson Shelton (David) of Lincoln, AL. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Antioch Christian Church (3017 MS-503, Newton, MS 39332). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at the Antioch Christian Cemetery (3017 MS-503, Newton, MS 39332).
