It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Minta Vernon of Newton, Mississippi, who passed away on September 10, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her former husband Calvin C. Lewis. She is survived by: her sister Mary Francis Rust (Finney); her brother-in-law Malcolm of Allensville; her daughters, Linda Carol Lewis Weissinger (David) of Franklin, Lisa Claire Lewis Cantwell (Thomas) of Sabillasville, MD and Leigh Anne Lewis Whittle (Douglas) of Newton, MS.; and her granddaughter Mary. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
