It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sarah Elizabeth Maske of Newton, Mississippi, who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Gordon Maske; her grandson Steven Tyler Maske; her parents, James Rankin and Emmie Lee Williams Willis; and her siblings, Clinton Willis, John Willis, Donny Willis, Larry Willis, Hansel Willis, Mary Joyce Willis and Linda Dennis.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve Maske (Linda) of Newton and James G. "Bo" Maske of Newton; her grandson Cody Maske (Jordan) of Newton; and her sister Shirley Hurt of Meridian. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home - South (100 Old Hwy 15 Loop, Newton, MS 39345). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at the Cedar Grove Baptist Cemetery (2548 Cedar Grove Rd, Newton, MS 39345).
