He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Hand and Ona Hand; and his brother Paul. He is survived by: his wife Annette Jordan Hand of Bay Springs; his children, Paul Hand (Melinda) of Bay Springs and Christi Hand of Brandon; his grandchildren, Baleigh Hand Grete (Will) of Clinton, McKayla Hand Carroll (Tyler) of Madison, McKenzie Guyse Slay (John Avery) of Brandon and Morgan Guyse of Brandon; his great grandchildren, William, Maggie, Jaden, Caroline, Juliet, Elizabeth and Troy; and his siblings, Polly Hand Lindsley (Danny) of Newton, Deborah Hand Lewis (Bruce) of Terry and Jeffery Hand (Adriana) of Brandon. He is also survived by father, as "Papa" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home - North Starts (9998 Eastside Dr, Newton, MS 39345). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home - North Chapel (100 Old Hwy 15 Loop, Newton, MS 39345).
