It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Thomas Humphreys of Newton, Mississippi, who passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son William Scott Humphreys; his parents, James L. "Sonny Boy" Humphreys and Melba Loper Humphreys; and his siblings, Benny Lamar Humphreys, Barbara Haralson and Mary Everett.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Jones Humphreys of Newton; his daughter Amy McGee of Union; his daughter-in-law Shellie Humphreys Wyatt (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Josh McGee, Gracie Humphreys Hollingsworth (Colby) and Mallory McGee; and his brothers, Jimmy Dale Humphreys (Voncille) of Moselle and Jerry Humphreys (Betty Jo) of Lawrence. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
