She was predeceased by: her husband Elmer Ray Covington; her parents, John D. Jones and Bertha Mathis Poole; and her siblings, Betty Canoy, Irene Jones, Doyle Jones, Chester Jones, Ricky Jones and Johnny Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Jerrie Cameron (Leonard) of Grain Valley, MO, James Thompson (Rhonda) of Brandon, MS and David Staggs of Oakland, MS; her grandchildren, Jesse Cameron (Jessica), Savanna Creason (Josh), Robyn Stevens (Chuck), Jessica Thompson (Dennis), David Staggs II (Brianna), Brandi Cameron (Josh) and Leonard Cameron II (Ezra); her siblings, Ann Earwood of Florence, MS and Charlie Jones (Donna) of Kilmichael, MS; and her stepchildren, Mitzie Harris (Danny), LaNora Yasko (Pete) and Paul Covington (Christy) of Hernando, MS.. She is also survived by her twelve great-grandchildren and eleven step great grandchildren.
