She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Allen Adams; her son Paul Allen Adams Jr.; her parent Willie DuBois Slaughter; and her brother J. W. Slaughter (Kathryn). She is survived by: her daughter Betty Kornegay (Brad); her grandchildren, Anna Lauren Kornegay and Mark Kornegay; her sisters, Peggy Slaughter and Ernestine Slaughter; and her daughter-in-law Beppie Adams. She is also survived by extended family, and a host of dear friends.
