He was predeceased by: his parents, Crawford Dees and Camellia Irene Dees; and his sisters, Lois Mark and GayNelle Walker. He is survived by: his sons, D. Philip Dees Jr. (Starla) and Ralph L. Dees (Rhonda); his sisters, Martha Coody, Lou Ellen Hoffman and Diane McKinney; his grandchildren, Julien River Dees, Baylor Payne Dees, Ralph Dees II and Camellia Dees; and his stepgrandchildren, Alexis Emanuel, Dominque Emanuel and Malachi Emanuel. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and five step-great- grandchildren and numerous other friends.
