She was predeceased by : her father Charles William Morehead; and her brother Charles Douglas Morehead Sr.. She is survived by : her husband Bobby Smith; her children, Steve Smith (Karen) and Debbie Glenn (William); her grandsons, Stephen Smith (Jessica), Christopher Smith (Laura), Clay Glenn (Mallory) and Tyler Glenn (Courtney); her great grandchildren, Cooper Smith, Avery Smith, Colton Smith, Amelia Glenn and Cameran Glenn; and her sister Jean Martin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

“I knew Bettie since 1977 as we both worked for the Postal Inspection Service. She, another friend, and I travelled together and enjoyed our trip. You never had to guess what Bettie meant when she spoke; she was outspoken but sincere and I liked that about her. She was mostly positive throughout her illness and we kept in touch through the many years. I will miss her. I send my condolences to Bob, her family and friends. May you find comfort in knowing because of her faith, she is now well!”
