He was predeceased by: his parents, Maggie Nell and Jim Petty. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patti" Petty of Olive Branch; his children, Michelle Sluder (Jeff) of Cordova, TN, Diane Averill of Defuniak Springs, FL and Nick Petty of Marietta, GA; his grandchildren, Christie Gipson (Brendan) of Cordova, Jake Sluder (Heather) of Arlington, TN and Jonathon Haberer of Tampa Bay, FL; and his sister Pat Woods (Gerald) of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
