He was predeceased by : his parents, Marguerite Jacobs Davis and Milford Anderson Davis; and his brother Larry Davis. He is survived by : his wife Lynne Davis of Olive Branch; his sons, Trevor Davis (Angie) of Olive Branch, Zach Davis of Olive Branch and Jared Davis (Megan) of Olive Branch; his grandsons, Dalton Davis of Olive Branch, Griffin Davis of Olive Branch, Evan Davis of Olive Branch, Cam Davis of Olive Branch and Hudson Davis of Olive Branch; and his siblings, Curt Davis (Peggy) of Rossville, TN, Tom Davis (Judy) of Coffeeville, MS and Mary Linda Fellows (David) of Fayetteville, AR. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“Thank you ever so much for allowing Jim Davis to enter my life. He & Dr. Scott were the first people I met at First Baptist Olive Branch. He helped lead my family to join that Church where we have been for over 20 years. My life is fuller to have known Jim. I know the earth has lost a truely great man. I know that he would now want to come back now. He has seen things most of us can not imagine. He's with Jesus. Thank you again & may God bless you.”
