He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Sarah Scruggs of Southaven, MS; his mother Imogene Scruggs of Independence, MS; his sons, Jay Scruggs (Michelle) of Germantown, TN and Brandon Scruggs (Jodi) of Byhalia, MS; his siblings, Mark Scruggs (Nancy) of Memphis and Suzan Scruggs of Olive Branch; and his father John W Scruggs II.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Coleman Funeral Home (6815 Parkview Hts Blvd, Olive Branch, MS 38654). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
