He was predeceased by: his father Dewey Blackwell. He is survived by: his wife Nell Blackwell; his daughters, Traci Goodman (Eric) of San Antonio and Lisa Blackwell (Andy) of Memphis; his brother Ron Nichols (Philanthy) of Ocala, Florida.; and his grandchildren, Holly Hamner (Blair), Heather Grossi (Jason) and John Trace Ruleman. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
