He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. Samuel G. Mounger and Katharine Davis Mounger of Greenwood, MS.. He is survived by : his wife Suzanne Schwartz Mounger of Orange County, CA.; his daughter Julia Gwin Morrison; his son-in-law Jonathan Morrison of Maben, MS; his siblings, Katharine Mounger Jones of Winchester, VA and Whitman Davis Mounger; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Avery Mounger of Greenwood, MS; and his grandson Jacob Taylor Morrison.

Memorials may be made to St Timothy's Episcopal Church.
