She was predeceased by: her husband Durward Brown; her son Brown; her parents, James Spires and Mildred Spires; and her sisters, Nina Hall and Floella Jett.

She is survived by: her children, Diane (Jackey), Kenneth (Linda) and Keith (Jill); and her grandchildren, James (Kristy), Lydia (Tom), Katherine (Taylor), Patricia (Kenny), Janine (Darrell) and Kevin. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
