He is survived by: his wife Betty Taylor; his children, Thomas Mapes Jr., Pennie Mapes, Becky Alexander (Mickey) and Melissa Tate (Leo); his grandchildren, Micah Tolar (Bridgett), Tyler Alexander (Allye), Preston Alexander, Ryan Tate, James Fuller Jr., Autumn Carty (Rashaad), Mekenna Tate and Christina Fuller; and his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Tolar, Maddox Tate, Colton Alexander, Rae Tolar, Austyn Tolar and Palmer Carty.
