She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Effie Dews Hinton, Willie Howard Hinton and Bettye Jean; her parents, Dorothy May Hinton Morrow (Joseph Van Morrow) and Bettye Jean; her husband Jim Butler; and her brother William Ralph Morrow.
She is survived by: her grandson Lance; her children, Bettye, Carole Butler Haney (Hal) of Oxford, Mitzi Butler Linginfelter (Bill) of Atlanta and James Lance Butler (Ginger Weeks) of Oxford; her great grandchildren, Haney Evelyn, Mallory Carole Harris of Memphis, Harold Eugene "Henry" Haney, IV, Mary Hardy Haney of Oxford and Thomas Holt Peters of Atlanta; her sons-in-law, Hal Haney and Bill Linginfelter; and her grandsons, Hunter Haney, William Linginfelter, Russell Harris and Thomas Peters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the First Baptist Church - Oxford (800 Van Buren Ave, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
