He is survived by: his parents, LaVera Hodges (Oxford) and Allen A. Jones (Evelyn); his children, Verkelle, DeAllyn Young, Sander and Sania Porter; his pet Chewy; his grandson Elikai Porter; his siblings, Allen J. Jones (Danica), Chastity Jones and Geary Pegues; his aunts, Jennifer Jones, Jacqueline Corrothers, Tonya H. Woods (Emund) and Meta H. Anderson (Tony); his siblings' children, Seth Jones, LaToria Jones and Autumn Jones; his caregiver Carlotta Moore; Willie Porter.
Viewing was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the L. Hodges Funeral Service (721 Damascus Rd, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Tallahatchie-Oxford Missionary Baptist Association Building (20 MS-334, Oxford, MS 38655). A burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at the Oxford Memorial Cemetery North 16th (420 N 16th St, Oxford, MS 38655).
