With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Cox of Oxford, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 1, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Doris may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband E. Clyde Cox (Pat); and her son Andy Cox (E. Clyde). She is survived by: her children, Gary (Barbara) and Bonnie; her grandchildren, Shelley (Tracy), Christine (Bruce) and Joey (Casey); and her great grandchildren, Cassie, Gage, Ciana and Elijah.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Seven Oaks Funeral Home (12760 Hwy 32, Water Valley, MS 38965). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 9330 Co Rd 436, Water Valley, MS 38965.
