Earlene Foster Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Earlene Foster (Oxford, Mississippi), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Prines Foster and Mary Jones Foster; and her siblings, Edna M. Woods (Arthur Lee, Sr.), Idellar Walls and Willie James Foster.
She is survived by: her son Edward Norphlet; her daughter-in-law Angie Norphlet; her granddaughters, Chanel and Amari; her sibling's children, Debra Jackson and Arthur Woods, Jr. (Josie); her sister-in-law Ella Mae Woodall; her great-nephew Brandon Jackson; her great-nieces, Shalaunda Walls and Shauna Walls Edwards (Terrance); and her close friend Mary J Pegues (Keith). She is also survived by four great-great nieces, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the L. Hodges Funeral Service (721 Damascus Rd, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Tallahatchie-Oxford Missionary Baptist Association Building (20 MS-334, Oxford, MS 38655). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church (35 Co Rd 313, Oxford, MS 38655).
