With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elvira Jordan (Oxford, Mississippi), born in Belen, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 10, 2025 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Jordan Sr. and Ruby Jordan; her grandchildren, Robert, Erika, Shamiyah, Marvin Jr. (Shay), Michael, Taylor and Prince; and her great grandchild Leia.
She is survived by: her children, Marvin of Tucson, AZ, Sherry of Melissa, TX, Michael (Kim) of Chicago, IL and David of Milwaukee, WI; her siblings, Annie of Chicago, IL, Lanoris of Marks, MS, Bessie of Wichita, KS, Earl Jr. of Sardis, MS, Turner of Gurnee, IL, Thomas Sr. (Brenda) of Oxford, MS, Johnny (Rosalina) of Phoenix, IL., Mary Lee and Roger; her cousin Linda Keys (Coats) of President; and her close friend Katherine McCraw. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pinelake Church (5202 George G Patterson Pkwy, Oxford, MS 38655).
