He was predeceased by: his fathers, Robert Earl Jones and Louis Armstrong. He is survived by: his children, George Anthony Jones (Marsha) of Dallas, Christopher Earl Jones of Racine, Wisconsin, Regina Michelle Jones of Oxford and Cora Ash of Charlotte, Carolina; his close friend Willie Mae Jones of Oxford; and his sister Velva Jean Henry of Flint, Michigan.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tallahatchie-Oxford Missionary Baptist Association Building (20 MS-334, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at the Oxford Memorial Cemetery North 16th (420 N 16th St, Oxford, MS 38655).
