She is survived by: her siblings, Johnny B. Young, James Young (Betty Joe), Frankie Mae Thomas (Willie), Leslie Joanne Young, LaVera Hodges, Jacqueline Corrothers, Tonya Woods (Emund) and Meta Anderson (Tony); and her godchildren, Shaun Pettis and Kim Pettis-Wadley. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the L. Hodges Funeral Service (721 Damascus Rd, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Tallahatchie-Oxford Missionary Baptist Association Building (20 MS-334, Oxford, MS 38655). A burial was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at the Oxford Memorial Cemetery North 16th (420 N 16th St, Oxford, MS 38655).
