He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Edwards and William Edwards; his wife Shirley Edwards; his children, Jonell Williams, Louise Sullivan, Johnny Sullivan, Ricky Woods, Donnie Gray and James Earl Edwards; and his brothers, Johnny Edwards, Leon Edwards and Leroy Edwards.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda McCord (Andy) of Oxford, MS, Janice Fortner of Oxford, MS, Diane McDonald (Bobby) of New Albany, MS and Linda Terry (Ricky) of Nettleton, MS; and his brother David Edwards of Pontotoc, MS. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
