It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry O'Neal Burt (Oxford, Mississippi), who passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Burt and Mary Alice Porter Burt; and his siblings, Betty Jo Burt Campbell, Gregory Burt and Michael Burt.
He is survived by: his children, Dana Thompson, Katreena Brown (Robert), Kareem Thompson, Sr. of Oxford, April McMillian of Clarksville, TN, Shanta McMillian of Atlanta, GA and Javae Burt of Winter Garden, Florida; his brothers, Cornelius Burt of Winter Garden, Florida, Danny Burt (Martha) of Memphis, TN and Eric Burt of Oxford, MS; and his nephew Antonio Morgan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
