She was predeceased by: her mothers, J. D. Egerson and Ester Townsend Egerson; and her siblings, Jerri Mae Tyson, Josephine Egerson and Ronnie Joe Egerson.
She is survived by: her children, Kelvin Egerson (Yolanda) of Taylor, MS, Rayburn Brassell (Benita) of Taylor, MS and Tambra Golden (Joshua) of Taylor, MS; and her siblings, Mittie Egerson of Jackson, MS, Janice Egerson of Jackson, MS, Cindy Egerson of Jackson, MS, Debra Huston of Jackson, MS, Francis Gray (Robert) of Jackson, MS, Jenny Phillips of Jackson, MS and Lee Anthony Brown (Mina) of Jackson, MS. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, her in-laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
