He is survived by: his wife Linda Blakely Watkins of Bartlett, TN; his children, Tina Almond (Greg) of Auburn, AL and Jordan Watkins of Memphis, TN; his grandchildren, Seth Elliott Almond (Haley) and Sarah Elizabeth Almond; and his great grandchildren, Elliott, Waylon and Parker Almond.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leawood East Baptist Church.
