He is survived by: his son Joseph Hilliard (Erica) of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; his granddaughters, Hailey and Tori Grace Hilliard of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; his brothers, Alphonso Boone (Shirley) of Detroit, Kenneth Boone (Cheryl) of Chicago, David Boone of Oxford and Gatewood Boone of Bloomington, Illinois; his niece LaNeshia Ruffin of Oxford; his close friend Phyllis Quarles of Oxford; and his sister-in-law Sabrina Boone. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the L. Hodges Funeral Service (721 Damascus Rd, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at the Memories Cemetery (295 MS-7, Oxford, MS 38655).
