He was predeceased by: his mother Ruthie Genel McEwen; his nephew Nehemiah Hodges; and his grandparents, Dennis and Lillian McEwen. He is survived by: his sons, Kwandarius Petty and Kayden Petty (Myeshea); his siblings, Landria Davis, Shanda Petty, Crystal Blair and Alexus Jones; his grandmother Annie Petty; his siblings' children, Makai Washington, Noah Hodges, Ian Jones, Asher Henley, Pia Jones, Ana Jones and Aaliyah Blair; his uncles, William McEwen (Bobbie) and Herbert McEwen (Brenda); and his great-aunts, Ruby Taylor and Virginia McEwen Thomas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the L. Hodges Funeral Service (721 Damascus Rd, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church (35 Co Rd 313, Oxford, MS 38655). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at the Beverly U. M. Church (101 Co Rd 105, Oxford, MS 38655).
