She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Leeroy and Bernice Lattie Hodge Holmes; and her husband William Howard "Buck" Gossett. She is survived by: her children, Ann Sockwell of Oxford, MS, Rita Clark (Tim) of Oxford, MS, Peggy Montgomery (Jackie) of Toccopola, MS, William Gossett (Brenda) of Water Valley, MS, Sammy Gossett (Janet) of Water Valley, MS, Johnny Gossett (Kem) of Oxford, MS and Dean Gossett (Bonita) of Oxford, MS; her sister Syble Barry of Olive Branch, MS; Ashley Gossett and Madison Vance. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Waller Funeral Home & Cremation Services (419 MS-6, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
