With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Browning Galatas in Oxford, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 25, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence P. Browning and Ione Slawson Browning; her brother Clarence "Leonard" Browning; her son Michael Browning Galatas; her sister-in-law Elinor "Jeanette" Lewis; her son-in-law Edwin Randolph "Randy" Noble; and her granddaughter Elizabeth "Beck" Noble England.
She is survived by: her children, Marlee Galatas Gardner (Phil) of Havelock, N. C., John Ivy Galatas, III (Karen) of Long Beach, Miss. and Jeana Galatas Noble of Oxford; her daughter-in-law Pam Phillips Galatas of Madison, Miss.; her grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Gardner, Heather Gardner Lewis (Tony), Melissa Galatas, John Ivy Galatas, IV (Sarah), Rachel Noble Watson (John), Nathan Noble (Taylor), Randolph Noble, Sawyer Galatas and Georgia Galatas Powell (Daniel); and her great grandchildren, Renee England, Judith Marie England, Anne Elise England, John Noble Watson, Win Lela Watson and Elizabeth Leigh Lewis. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews.
