She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Ernest and Rosa "Rosie" Jean Langston Patterson; her brothers, Ted Patterson and Gene Patterson; and her nephew Scott Patterson.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Dean Smith of Oxford; her children, Ashley Smith Baker (Bradley) of Oxford, Kelli Smith Russell (Cole) of Oxford and Michael Dean Smith, II (Lexi) of Denver, CO; her siblings, Rosemary Windham (Jim) of Oxford, Robert Patterson of Oxford and Bruce Patterson (Cheryl) of Oxford; and her grandchildren, Thomas, Annarose, Ben, Molly, Maren, Sutton and Smith Anne.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Prospect Baptist Church (823 MS-334, Oxford, MS 38655).
