Though Rachel may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rachel Settle Currie and James Hector Currie, Jr. (Hec); her brothers, James Hector Currie III, Warner Settle Currie (Nanelle) and Rodes Settle Currie; and her husband William W. Martin, Jr. of Vicksburg, MS.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert W. Martin of Oxford, J. Barret Martin (Dianne) of Biloxi and William C. Martin (Carol) of Oxford.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the College Hill Presbyterian Church (339 Co Rd 102, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
