He was predeceased by : his parents, F. L. Scheffsky and Nellie Crockett Scheffsky; and his sisters, Nancy Newberry and Ann Scheffsky. He is survived by : his wife Jean Scheffsky of Oxford, Mississippi; and his sons, Mark Scheffsky (Julia) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Lance Scheffsky of St. Petersburg, Florida, Shawn Scheffsky (Terry) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Trav Hanna of Indian Trail and Josh Hanna (Bonnie) of Saltillo, Mississippi. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford (601 Commerce Pkwy, Oxford, MS 38655). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
