It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Jane Alexander (Oxford, Mississippi), born in Batesville, Mississippi, who passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leona Baker-Fletcher and Revance Fletcher; and her son Harold D. Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Augustus Alexander; her sisters, Irene, Johnnie Mae, Anna Mae and Delois; her sons, Hubert D. Hughes, Torry (Tanika) and Tony Hughes; her grandchild Tomeka Hughes; her stepson Augustus Alexander; and her siblings, Frances Howell and Reese Fletcher. She is also survived by 19 beautiful grandchildren; 11 wonderful Great-grandchildren.
