With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Ann Hughes Mounce in Oxford, Mississippi, who passed away on January 28, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Hughes and Lily Belle Swann Hughes; her husband Marcus H. Mounce; and her siblings, Lorene Rivera, Hazel Kisor, Hoyal Hughes of Leighton Hughes, J. D and Billy Hughes.
She is survived by: her sons, Eddie Mounce (Paula) of Oxford, Tim Mounce (Katie Clement) of Chapel Hill, NC and Willie Cleve Mounce (Yolanda) of Tupelo, MS; her grandchildren, Ryan Mounce, Abby Mounce, Charlie Mounce, Grace Mounce, Christian Mounce, Tierra Zinn and Skiyah Mounce; and her great grandchildren, Harmoni Young and Harlei Young.
