He is survived by: his wife Kerry Fero Holmes of Oxford; his children, Stephanie Wells (Jason) of Oxford, John Vernon Holmes (Yuliana) of McLean, VA, James Fero Holmes (Megan Ross) of Charlottesville, VA, Jeffrey Lloyd Holmes (Andrea) of Oxford and Jacob Charles Holmes of Spain; his grandchildren, Tanya Diaz (Carlos) of Purcellville, VA, Michael Jones of Richmond, VA, Ethan Jones of Oxford, Noah Wells of Oxford, Alistair Holmes of Oxford, Barnaby Holmes of Oxford and Wyatt Wells of Oxford; his great grandchildren, Mia of Purcellville and Emiliana Diaz of Purcellville; and his brother-in-law Charles Lloyd Fero (Su) of California.
