She was predeceased by: her parents, Edger Buford and Fannie Buford (Webb); her son Leslie Buford; her granddaughter Kimberly Carmen Buford-Patterson; and her siblings, Minnie Mae Buford of Oxford, MS and Thomas Buford of Jackson, MS.
She is survived by: her children, Melvin Buford (Debra) of Springfield, VA, Christopher Buford, Cara Lisa Buford Hilliard (William) of Oxford, MS and Willie K. Buford of Grenada, MS; her granddaughters, Lauren Buford-Pointer (Lyle) of Ashburn, VA, Keyonna Hilliard, Kara Hilliard of Oxford, MS, Alyssa Lewis-Buford and Nicole Buford of Grenada, MS; and her great grandchild Theodore Alexander Pointer of Ashburn, VA.. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
