He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Charles Hancock and Verda Mae Sherman Hancock; his siblings, Kenneth "Kenny" Ray Hancock and Betty Stockman; and his niece DeLena McCloud.

He is survived by: his sister Virginia "Ginger" Hancock Langer; his nephew Jeffrey Langer; and his niece Casey Satterfield.
