He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Wilkerson and Mary Wilkerson; and his siblings, Paul Stanley Wilkerson, Connie Wilkerson Sawyer, Patsy Wilkerson Fortenberry and Cathy Wilkerson Goff.

He is survived by: his sister Barbara Wilkerson Cobb; Brenda (Don) and J. W. Scott. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
