He was predeceased by: his wife Bobbie Dickerson McPhail; his parents, James Roger and Vera Lee McPhail (Bridges); his brothers, Lamar Gene McPhail and Dr. James H. McPhail; his parents-in-law, L. L. and Loise Dickerson (Middleton); and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Dyer McPhail, Cora Lee Gregory, Isabelle Gregory, Annis Ruth May, Billy F. Dickerson, Haskel Dickerson (Dick) and Bobby May.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Ann Rowson (Steven) of Baton Rouge, LA and Lance C. McPhail (Brandi) of St. Amant, LA; his grandchildren, Loren Rowson, Hayden McPhail and Ainsley McPhail; his great grandchild Philip Ray; his sisters-in-law, Nelda Dickerson of Bay Springs, MS and Lea Etta Ables of Ocean Springs, MS.; and his caregiver Christine Halford. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and numerous dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Eastlawn United Methodist Church (2502 Ingalls Ave, Pascagoula, MS 39567). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jackson County Memorial Park (4710 Ingalls Ave, Pascagoula, MS 39581).
