He was predeceased by: his children, Jesse Lewis II and Leoda Manchaster Lewis; his sisters, Starr Martin, Cheryl D. Lewis and Melanie Francine Walden; and his niece Sadie Awofeso.
He is survived by: his wife Kattie; his children, LaKesha Lewis Dixon (Antuwan), Phillip Holt and Matthew Holt; his grandson Dylan Dixon; his daughter Valerie Smothers-Brooks; his stepchildren, Lakeshia Rhodes (Rudy), Michael Odom Jr. and Christopher Odom; his sisters, Lynette Davis and Denise Fox; his uncles, Gary Manchester (Maryanne) and Willie Manchester; his nieces and nephews, Gia, Phyllis, Tanisha, Spring, LaShanta, Ja'Leasa, ShaaKira, Richard, Carlos, Derek, Ernest and Ralpheal; and his grandson Kaleb. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, step-grandchildren, and bonus grandchildren.
