We are sad to announce that on August 12, 2025, at the age of 87, John Lewis Jr. (Pascagoula, Mississippi) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sharpe Lewis, Sr. and Lawis Gibbs Lewis; and his brother Edward Earl Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Martha Chapman of Newton; his children, Wendell of Huntsville, AL and Mona McCaffrey (Tim) of Gulfport; his grandchildren, Thomas Carpenter, Daniel Carpenter, Samantha Adel and Zach Lewis; his great grandchild Gabe Adel; his brothers, Leon Lewis of Brandon and Rev. Malcolm Lewis (Sandra) of Collinsville; his sister-in-law Margaret Evans of Biloxi; and his caregivers, Stephanie Hill, Patrice Long, Nozi Wilson and Linda Howard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
